Speaking at a recent global conference in Bangkok, Former Ambassador of India to Poland Deepak Vohra sheds lights on India’s major achievements. Deepak Vohra highlighted the respect and admiration African nations have for India, noting their reference to India’s successful G20 summit hosting and desire for similar recognition. He emphasized that development requires self-respect, self- confidence, and self-reliance. Vohra compared India’s rapid progress to historical advancements in the developed world, citing impressive statistics of construction of :
28 kilometers of highway daily,
opening 8 airports annually,
launching 2 new metro lines each year,
and establishing 2 new colleges every day.
He proudly compared India’s educational achievements to those of the United States, noting the significant number of Indian students and the high percentage of female students excelling in civil services. Deepak recounted the pride he feels when representing India abroad, sharing anecdotes about positive interactions with foreign officials and the global recognition of India’s progress. He highlighted the country’s medical advancements, noting that India issued 2,000,000 medical visas last year to patients from various continents seeking treatment in India. Deepak concluded his address with a patriotic note, recounting historical moments that symbolized India’s true independence and self- confidence, such as the Chandrayaan mission and the returnof Ram Lalla to Ayodhya. With a call to action, he encouraged the audience to inspire atleast ten people each to vote and support the nation’s continued growth.
