This victory is seen by many as a Hindu Revival. With victories in three of the four states where elections are being held, the BJP is extending its political footprint. This time, the political party is banking on a new blood by appointing new political and competent faces as Chief Ministers. In the latest update the Christian dominated state Mizoram, the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) Chief Ministerial candidate, Lalduhoma, has secured a decisive victory in the Serchhip Assembly constituency, according to the official announcement by the Election Commission of India. The release of results for 27 seats from the November 7 polls in the state reveals a significant triumph for ZPM, which has emerged as the leading party by winning 27 seats. Meanwhile, the Mizo National Front (MNF) has secured the second position, winning 10 seats. This electoral outcome underlines the growing influence and support for the ZPM in Mizoram’s political landscape.

Rajasthan -Bhajan Lal Sharma, elected as the BJP Legislature Party leader, is slated to become the 14th Chief Minister of Rajasthan on December 15. The unexpected selection follows a meeting of BJP MLAs, where the 56-year-old MLA from Sanganer was chosen for the top post. Alongside him, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa will also take the oath of office in the upcoming ceremony. Rajasthan, following a tradition since 1993, has once again witnessed a change in government every five years, as the Congress failed to capitalize on the development initiatives introduced by the Ashok Gehlot administration. Sharma, a first-time MLA, secured victory in the Sanganer constituency with a substantial margin of 48,081 votes. The voter turnout was of 74.13%, slightly higher than the 2018 general election’s 74.06%. Hailing from Bharatpur in eastern Rajasthan, he enjoys strong backing from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and currently serves as the BJP’s state general secretary. The decision marks a strategic shift in the party’s leadership, with unexpected dynamics at play in the state’s political landscape.

Chhattisgarh-BJP party member Vishnu Deo Sai was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh at a ceremony held at the Science College grounds in Raipur. The oath-taking event was attended by key figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan administered the oath of office, with Vijay Sharma and Arun Sao also taking oaths as Deputy Chief Ministers. Sai, a member of the influential Sahu (Teli) community, secured victory in the Kunkuri Assembly seat with 87,604 votes. His nomination was announced by senior BJP leader Raman Singh after the legislature party meeting of the newly elected 54 BJP MLAs in Raipur. Sai, known for his standing among tribal voters, has served as a National Working Committee Member of the BJP, a former union minister of state for mines and steel, and the state president of the party for Chhattisgarh from 2020 to 2022. Starting as a village sarpanch, Sai has had a successful political journey, including multiple terms in the Lok Sabha and the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.

 Madhya Pradesh -Mohan Yadav, former higher education minister and three-time Ujjain MLA, assumed office as Madhya Pradesh’s 19th Chief Minister, signaling the end of Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s era. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP president JP Nadda. Yadav’s deputies, Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla, also took the oath. Statewide, 76.22% of voters cast ballots, as opposed to 75.63% in 2018. Shortly after joining office, Yadav banned loudspeakers/DJs above prescribed limits at religious and public events, deploying flying squads to monitor and curb noise pollution.Yadav emphasized the enforcement of guidelines for meat and egg shops, with an intensive campaign against illegal trade. The government plans to establish PM excellence colleges in every district, offering diverse courses under the New Education Policy. Additionally, a Digi locker initiative for digitizing students’ mark sheets and a hike in the tendu leaf bag price to Rs 3,000 were announced. The government aims to review bail cancellations for repeat offenders monthly and looks forward to the consecration of the Ram Mandir.
