About Dharma Foundation
Dharma Foundation; the name itself is enough to tell you what our mission is. This website is a medium for us to touch the hearts of Hindus who somehow strayed from the Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism). Can we actually call ourselves woke Hindus when we don’t have the basic understanding and knowledge of Hinduism, of our holy scriptures and on the importance of karma and dharma?
In this era of technology, we are getting closer to you; our editorial team will post articles regularly with the ultimate vision of teaching and introducing people to the true values of Hinduism. Our sources of information are the works of educators, historians and writers.
Dharma Foundation wants to establish itself as a reference site for all the activities organized in Mauritius by the various socio-cultural associations. We have prepared a detailed calendar of the activities of these associations so that you can participate in the blossoming of your personal knowledge on Sanatana Dharma hence becoming a man not with money but rich in values and principles.

Our motivation behind the creation of Dharma Foundation
- There is an invisible war between Hindu socio-cultural associations which have become easy prey of show-off to politicians
- The caste system is prevalent in Mauritius and doing great harm to the Hindu community and the Mauritian population in general
- Many Hindus feel a certain shame to even acknowledge their ethnicity out of fear that they are perceived as orthodox. Indeed, this is a trend that is very visible within the younger generation.
- Hinduism is not and has never been limited to prayers or grandiose festivities; this is the in fact the cultural part that we have adopted as Hindus in order to showcase our adoration to our community. But in all that the true meaning of Sanatana Dharma has been lost. Hinduism is the spiritual awakening of the mind.
